Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
  • 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups organic baby spinach, tightly packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, stems removed
  • 1/2 small avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds
  • 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks

Instructions:

  1. Pour the 1 cup unsweetened coconut water into the blender carafe first. Note: Liquid at the bottom prevents the blades from spinning air.
  2. Add the 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice to the liquid base.
  3. Pack the 2 cups organic baby spinach and 1/4 cup fresh parsley on top of the liquid.
  4. Pulse 3 times until the greens are submerged and partially broken down.
  5. Add the 1/2 small avocado and 1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds.
  6. Place the 1/2 green apple and 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks on top. Note: Heavy frozen items push the lighter greens into the blades.
  7. Start the blender on the lowest speed and slowly increase to high.
  8. Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is a uniform, vibrant green.
  9. Stop the motor and check the consistency with a spoon.
  10. Pour immediately into a glass until the velvety surface settles.
