Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 cups organic baby spinach, tightly packed
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, stems removed
- 1/2 small avocado, pitted and peeled
- 1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds
- 1/2 green apple, cored and chopped
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
Instructions:
- Pour the 1 cup unsweetened coconut water into the blender carafe first. Note: Liquid at the bottom prevents the blades from spinning air.
- Add the 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice to the liquid base.
- Pack the 2 cups organic baby spinach and 1/4 cup fresh parsley on top of the liquid.
- Pulse 3 times until the greens are submerged and partially broken down.
- Add the 1/2 small avocado and 1 tbsp shelled hemp seeds.
- Place the 1/2 green apple and 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks on top. Note: Heavy frozen items push the lighter greens into the blades.
- Start the blender on the lowest speed and slowly increase to high.
- Blend for 45 to 60 seconds until the mixture is a uniform, vibrant green.
- Stop the motor and check the consistency with a spoon.
- Pour immediately into a glass until the velvety surface settles.
