Terms of Use
Last updated: October 24, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of zegreenfood.com (the "Site"), operated by Ze Green Food ("we", "us", "our"). The Site publishes plant-based recipes in four categories: Plant-Based, Bowls, Salads and Smoothies. Please read these Terms before using it.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we handle and why. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, including people who only browse, rate or comment on recipes, or write to us through the contact form.
2. Use of Content and Copyright
The recipes, articles, text, images, layout and other material on the Site are protected by copyright and belong to Ze Green Food or its licensors. You are welcome to use them in the following ways:
- Cook our recipes at home and print or save a copy for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Share a recipe with friends and family by sending a link to the page.
- Quote a short excerpt, such as a sentence or the recipe title, with a clear credit and a link back to the original page on zegreenfood.com.
Without our prior written permission, please do not:
- Copy, republish or redistribute full recipes, articles or images on another website, blog, app, newsletter or social profile.
- Sell, license or otherwise use our content for any commercial purpose.
- Remove copyright notices or credits from the material.
- Copy the Site's content in bulk by automated means.
If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, please contact us with a description of the work, the page where you found it and your contact details, and we will review the request promptly.
3. Your Submissions
The Site lets you send us three kinds of content: recipe ratings, comments, and messages through the contact form.
Ratings and comments
When you submit a rating or comment, you provide a name and the text you write. Both may be displayed publicly beside the recipe. Please use a name you are comfortable sharing and do not include personal details such as your email address, phone number or home address in a comment.
You remain the owner of what you write, and by submitting it you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display, store and, where needed, edit it for clarity or length on the Site.
Please keep submissions honest and relevant to the recipe. We may edit or remove any comment that:
- is abusive, discriminatory, threatening or harassing;
- is spam, advertising or contains links to unrelated sites;
- contains someone else's personal information or copyrighted material;
- is unlawful or misleading, or impersonates another person.
Contact messages
Messages sent through the contact form (name, email address and message) are used only to reply to you. They are not published.
You are responsible for what you submit. Ratings and comments express the views of the people who wrote them, not of Ze Green Food.
4. Recipe and Nutrition Disclaimer
Our recipes are written with clear steps, realistic times and temperatures, ingredient substitutions and food-safety notes, and they are edited to read consistently. Cooking is still a hands-on activity, so please use your own judgment while following any recipe.
Results vary
Outcomes depend on your oven and stove, cookware, ingredient brands, the ripeness and size of produce, altitude and your own technique. Cooking and preparation times are guides, not guarantees. Taste as you go and adjust seasoning, texture and timing to suit your kitchen and preferences.
Nutrition information
Where nutrition values appear, they are estimates calculated from typical ingredient data. Actual values change with brands, portion sizes, substitutions and preparation methods. Nutrition and dietary labels (such as "vegan" or "high protein") are provided as general guidance only.
Allergens and dietary needs
Many of our recipes include common allergens such as nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, sesame and legumes. Always read the labels on every ingredient you use, because manufacturers change formulations and products may be processed alongside allergens. If you or anyone you cook for has an allergy, intolerance or medical dietary requirement, check each ingredient yourself before preparing or serving a dish.
Substitutions suggested in a recipe may change its allergen profile.
Food safety and doneness
- Wash your hands, produce, boards and utensils, and keep raw and cooked foods separate.
- Cook foods thoroughly. Dried beans such as kidney beans must be soaked and boiled fully before eating, and lentils, grains and other ingredients should be cooked until tender.
- Use a food thermometer to verify doneness and reheating. Food that is reheated should reach 165°F (74°C) throughout.
- Refrigerate leftovers and meal-prep portions promptly, store them in clean covered containers, and eat them within a few days. Discard anything that looks, smells or tastes off.
- Take care with hot pans, knives, blenders and other kitchen equipment, and supervise children in the kitchen.
Not medical or dietary advice
Content on the Site is for general information and inspiration only. It is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it does not replace guidance from a physician or registered dietitian. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are changing your diet significantly, speak with a qualified professional first. Statements about ingredients, such as those in smoothie or recipe titles, are not health claims or treatment recommendations.
5. Third-Party Links, Services and Ads
The Site may link to other websites, including our Pinterest profile, and may display advertising from third parties. We do not own or control these sites or advertisers and are not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices or availability. A link or an advertisement is not an endorsement. Any dealings you have with third parties are between you and them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. The Site is also delivered through Cloudflare, which may set technical cookies for security and performance, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable Use
Please use the Site lawfully and considerately. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems, disrupt or overload it, introduce harmful code, use automated tools to scrape or copy it in bulk, or use it in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
7. Availability and Accuracy
We work to keep the Site accurate and available, but we cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that every detail is complete or current. We may update, correct, suspend or remove recipes, pages or features at any time. If you spot a mistake in a recipe, we would appreciate a note through the contact page.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. You prepare and eat any food at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ze Green Food and its owners, contributors and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any illness, allergic reaction, injury, property damage or loss arising from your use of the Site, from preparing or consuming food made from our recipes, or from relying on content, comments or third-party links.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when the Site adds features or when requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms, so please check this page occasionally.
